blacklist britain

For years some of the biggest names in British business subscribed to a secret blacklist - containing thousands of names - with the power to deny work and destroy livelihoods.  Reporter Richard Bilton secured the first television interview with the bookkeeper for the organisation which ran the list.

It’s fine television and important journalism about people who've been badly treated - and it’s really well cut. Many thanks again. You're a class act!”

This was a very challenging edit. The story was fascinating and my task was to transform a mundane visual narrative into dramatic, entertaining television. My music choices and creative input into the filming helped to deliver an arresting programme that shone a light on the darker side of the construction industry and opened the door into this covert blacklist.
